The National League of Junior Cotillions Curriculum

Building Confidence, Character, and Courtesy

Prima Dancesport is a registered partner of the National League of Junior Cotillions and uses its copyrighted curriculum, which is designed to provide young people with instruction and practice in the courtesies that make everyday interactions more pleasant for themselves and those around them.

Students receive comprehensive training in social etiquette, communication, and dance fundamentals, along with meaningful opportunities to practice and enjoy these skills at memorable events. These experiences may include balls, dinners, and other special occasions featuring decorations, refreshments, favors, and prizes.

Junior Cotillion is structured as a multi-year program, with each year building on the instruction and experiences of the previous one. Over time, students develop greater confidence, stronger character, and increased social awareness while continuing to grow in poise, leadership, and respectful behavior in group settings.

Our Cotillion classes are registered through the National League of Junior Cotillions and are designed to help children and young teens build confidence, make new friends, and learn lifelong social skills in a fun and supportive setting. Whether they are just starting out in our Pre-Cotillion program or continuing their growth in Junior Cotillion, students will gain valuable practice in proper etiquette, respectful communication, and social dance.

Through age-appropriate lessons, interactive activities, and guided peer interaction, participants develop lifelong poise, discipline, and confidence that carry over into everyday life. Junior Cotillion students also receive instruction in traditional ballroom dance steps, set to contemporary music.

Classes are limited and tend to fill quickly, so we highly encourage early registration. We look forward to an exciting year of learning, growth, and fun!
